Charities
Pt Cruisers of Michiana has always participated in different local charites along with attending other club shows and rallies to help them with their local charities. In 2006 the club decided that we were spreading ourselves too thin by trying to help too many organizations and only being able to contribute small portions to each. Any amount can help, however we felt that we would be able to make a more useful donation if we would just donate to two major charities each year. So each year we vote on the two organizations that we will contribute to along with our adopted family.
2008 Charities
This year the pt cruisers of michiana will be contributing to ....................... along with our adopted family.
Our adopted family consists of "Nana" a grandmother and six children she is trying to raise in order to keep the "family" together. In 2004 the children's mother was killed in a tragic automobile accident. Since the accident Nana has been doing her best to keep them all together on her modest income. Nana is also limited by her own health problems. Some of the ways our club has helped this family are; donating all the fixins for Thanksgiving dinner (Nana loves to cook), donating gifts and a tree at Christmas, and donating much time by different club members in helping repair, and maintain their house they are renting.
